Food Travelling in Sydney

Walking around in the aussie land of Sydney but don't know where to eat? Well, here are a few varieties which includes desserts where everyone must give it a try and trust me, you wouldn't wanna miss it.

First off is an Indonesian Restaurant where many people would think is just a normal restaurant but HOLD IT!! This is DIFFERENT!! You will be eating everything on the plate, which includes the CHICKEN BONES!! YES!! I'm not kidding!! This is unique and it tastes good as well.

The Menu with the location

The crispy chicken (standard)

Want something spicy? Try the sambal :)

Next would be dessert for supper or anytime when you feel like wanna eat something sweet. Here's a good place to visit which is near Kazbah Restaurant (from previous post).

The sign and the name of the place

Delicious no? :D

Overall it tastes really good, just need to know which one you feel like eating but all tastes GOOD!! This is like a dreamland for the girls :) Is it too hot? Head down to Bondi Beach to catch some Swiss Ice Cream named Movenpick. Prices are a bit pricey but don't estimate it as it tastes like heaven!!

The restaurant

The wonderful ice creams

If ice-cream is just too cold, try having this fried mars bars which is somewhere nearby the place. You won't miss it. It is about $3.50 for one and it tastes good!! TRUST ME!! DON'T MISS IT ALONG THE WAY!!

Fried Mars Bar :D

It is getting dark and is time to have something for dinner, since you're still in Bondi Beach, go to Hurricane's Grill & Bar Restaurant which is nearby Bondi Beach and try their Pork Ribs which is just too awesome!!

The best bread where the crust and taste are just superb!!

The humongous pork ribs size where ONLY a true eater is able to finish it
(I FINISH THIS WHOLE PLATE WITH CHIPS BY MYSELF AND I'M PROUD OF IT XD)

Before heading back home, go somewhere to digest your meal by having some cocktails and enjoy the wonderful view of Sydney City Life. This place I'm talking about is Blu Bar which is held at the 36th Floor of Shangri-La Hotel in the city.

Beautiful isn't it? :) Same goes for the view below

This is pretty much I had visited but there is more to come if I have another chance to visit Sydney. But the meals, desserts and cocktails are just awesome :) You won't regret it.

Bone & Pot

If you drive pass LDP's Kelana Jaya LRT station, you will come to notice this restaurant by the side of the highway, it has been open for almost 6 months now. Operating hours are from 5pm til 12pm. This is an ala carte steamboat restaurant, no buffet, no sets. Ingredients and side orders are by plates at your own choice. This restaurant is a NON-HALAL, the serve pork.
The different types of dishes for the steamboat, mostly are fresh, only some were frozen food, because they import from another country.
They have 5 different sauce.
there are a few different ingredient that you can't find it from other steamboat restaurant. mostly imported, frozen food are imported and handmade ingredient are special.
Their signature soup, bone soup
After putting in all the ingredients into the pot, the end of the soup taste really good.
The price of the food it's not very expensive and more than average.
For 4 person, our bill it's about RM180
about RM40 per person on the steamboat.
Do go and try it :)

A word of advice, go at 7pm, otherwise you would have to wait for a long as reservations are not allowed.

Le'Vain Boulangerie Patisserie @ Jalan Delima, KL

Nestled behind the Indonesian Embassy, Le'Vain is a quaint little bakery that doubles as a cafe.
Its a rather inconspicuous-looking place, so do look out for the sign. Also, be prepared to fight for parking as there is limited lots within the compound.

As you walk in the door, to your left are trays and trays of freshly baked goodies. Do decide which to pick, as other customers tend to snap them up surprisingly quick!

Now, on to the good stuff...the FOOD!

Cream of Mushroom & Chicken Soup**
&
Iced Latte

The soup was surprisingly filling. It had soft chunks of chicken and slices of mushrooms, and was very creamy.

Seafood Aglio Olio

This turned out to be VERY NICE! The prawns were VERY plump and juicy...and the seafood didn't overpower the dish. Now, most people know that I AVOID chillies and spiciness at all costs. But with this dish, the light touch of chillies actually made the dish even better. It was sooooo good, I forgot to taste the following two dishes. XD

Seafood Pasta**
The cream(ier) version of the Seafood Aglio Oglio.

Dry Curry Beef Pasta

Didn't manage to taste this one...but my friend who ordered it said it was goooooood....

New York Cheese Cake

The desserts on display were practically seducing me to try them out. So I picked a classic, the New York Cheese Cake. However, this turned out to be the one bad choice I make. The cake feels "heavy" and almost gelatinous (jelly-like). I'm no connoisseur but I'm pretty sure any cheese cake doesn't taste like that.
