I was quite surprised when my mum specifically asked me to go breakfast with the rest of the family the next morning, so I just agreed seeing as I hadn't had a proper meal with them in ages.
Boy, was I thankful that I did agree to go.
We went to this place in Bangsar Village called d'lish. It was kinda weird as we entered via the supermarket.
On to the food review.
4 of us ordered the Big Brekke, which consists of 2 eggs (in any style you like), toast, turkey bacon, sausages, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, hash brown and roasted tomatoes. The Big Brekke also comes with orange juice and tea or coffee (in any style you like). Just reading it off the menu was appetizing enough.
My brother ordered Spaghettini Carbonara with Turkey Bacon...again. It's like there's no other option in the world or at least in the menu that appeals to his stomach. Word of caution, this dish has a good helping of parmesan cheese, which might smell revolting to some.
My grandmother also ate with us. Due to her health complications, she opted for the Vietnamese Beef Pho (noodles). Nothing spectacular about this dish. Just the usual beef slices with flat noodles in beef stock served with mint leaves and other greens.
Although the overall meal was pricey, it was worth the cost.
However, the wallets would beg you not to do this on a daily basis.
Perhaps a family treat?
And I leave you readers with this tempting cup of cappuccino.
This is Justin, signing out.
